Let’s not forget many self-claimed experts are heavily funded by industry. My dad grew up in the 50’s which was spilling over with ads like above and below. Yes, there was a time where people were told by medical doctors that smoking was healthy.
Several lawsuits and unfortunately many, many… many decades later, we all know smoking is a top killer. But how could we not question these ads back in the day? How did it in any way seem logical that inhaling smoke would ever be a good idea? It happened because we turned off our brain and relied on authorities blindly. Authorities are meant to guide us because they often do have more detailed knowledge in specific areas than we might have, but they are never to be followed blindly - we should always use our own common sense. No “science” can override common sense.
The tobacco industry bribed doctors heavily to promote these lies under a cover of “science” and “doctor-approved”.
Is this limited to the doctor field? No, of course not - any “expert title” can be used as a veil to mislead the public when financial interests are at play.
We cannot trust on someone based on titles, this is sheep behaviour.
We need to always look for the money trail.
There is just as much “bad science” today - flawed and rigged by financial interests as there is good unbiased science.
As a society we tend to repeat the mistakes of yesterday today - and we cannot afford that anymore.
We cannot afford to not adhere to “the precautionary principle” - that means we MUST insist on waiting til things have been tested safe, rather than introducing drugs, new technology etc. just because it has not yet been proven harmful and there are not yet enough deaths to show a statistic correlation. That is insanity.
We must insist on NOT using humans as lab rats (and we shouldn’t be using lab rats either for that matter).
We are doing this right now in regards to gmo, wireless technology, new drugs, vaccines being released too soon to the public (of course we need vaccines for various diseases, that is not the question, but we need them to have shown “safe” - and that is the controversy today).
Luckily more and more doctors are speaking up against the vested financial interests in our health, which has led to us taking drugs based on profitable reasons rather than actual efficacy.
But we cannot rely on other people to solve the mess we are in the midst of today. We as the people, are needed to use our voice. As we face repeated corruption scandals both in governing health organizations, governments and medical industries, we need to think critical about things. We have got to take care of ourselves by start THINKING, as we cannot count on anyone else to look after us or think for us.
It is always slightly uncomfortably to say the least to use our own brain. And I say that not in a condescending way. It can be an overwhelming stress-factor with our busy lives and in the midst of our own life challenges - financial strain, divorce, infidelity, death, eating disorders, depression, alcoholism, addiction and the list goes on and on of the things, many of us get to deal with in this lifetime, which we may feel that we are drowning in. And to also have to think critically about the world we live in, the authorities we trust, the choices we make, the causes we support unknowingly by paying for things, which support people we do not want to support - it is just too much for many of us.
But doing nothing and ignoring things, don’t make them go away. And our world as it stands today is a clear example of the price we pay for living in denial.
It is key that we never rely on authorities blindly, that we keep our common sense and ask enough “whys” til things make sense.
And if things don’t make sense, regardless of what any authority tell us, we should rely on our own brain and logical reasoning, rather than on something which does not make sense. We need to stop relying blindly on what “authorities” say and instead start asking questions:
Why are we releasing drugs on the market with side-effects sometimes out-weighing the benefits?
How can we call it science, when much science is sponsored by the industry?
Why are we rolling out new wireless technology like 5g, before we have even had a chance to check the harm-level thoroughly?
What might happen to a person’s health if we start implementing RFID chips into our body as is now discussed (and already implemented amongst so-called self-claimed “biohackers” in Sweden)?
Why are we seeing increased cancer rates in areas with pesticides in the drinking water?
Why do we think gmo engineered food is without risks when one of the corner stones of this technology involves inserting the pesticide directly into the plant so the insects die if they eat it - how does it seem logical that this is okay for humans to eat?
These questions do not require science to support them - the answer to many of them is beyond obvious: it just doesn’t sound like a great idea. We do not need science to explain common sense - i.e. do we really need science to tell us it is scientifically not a great idea to sleep on the highway? No one is going to sponsor such a study, yet this is what many of us today are waiting for, when it comes to our health. We need to start using our common sense in these matters, there is no other way.
We know from history, that “the experts” and “governing authorities” are not always helpful or truthful. We were told by “experts” that smoking was healthy and that one of the most deadly materials like mercury was perfectly safe in dental fillings. Mercury is used to KILL people, but hey it seems totally logical to place it inside your mouth, where you will be chewing on the fillings for decades - yeah, let’s do that, sounds like a great idea. And let’s not forget we all know today that asbestos is super deadly, yet we were told it was harmless back in the day, and even today approximately 90,000 people die from asbestos-related diseases globally each year due to work-related exposure.…. and the list goes on and on of things that seemed logically like a super bad idea, yet we accepted it due to “experts” telling us it was “harmless” and to “calm down”, we were being “hysteric” and finally ridiculing us by offering us a tin-foil hat.
We chose to ignore our common sense in these scenarios.
We chose to trust “the experts” even though it went against all logical reasoning. We do not need to be experts in any field to use our common sense - if something sounds off, it probably is. If something kills insects there is no reason to believe it is safe for humans. We do not need to wait for further proof to what degree things are harmful - we need to stop until things are proven safe. We need to start asking questions instead of fearing to be ridiculed by self-claimed experts, who in many cases, are paid to flat out lie.
Yes, ridiculing other people has been the name of the game for decades, and it is time we have had enough of this treatment. Because the authorities and media promoting the false picture that using our common sense should be ridiculed, in many cases they have themselves ties to various industries. There is no factual news anymore, only opinions being promoted as facts. And if we dare disagree, we are ridiculed - why many smart doctors do not dare speak up, because they risk losing their license to practice entirely. Therefore we need to act, we need to start asking questions instead of silently accepting other people’s agendas.
