Last year I wrote an article about the most powerful vitamins developed. You might have heard of them. They are liposomal vitamins. These types of vitamins are designed to be absorbed and I personally prefer these over IV vitamin injections, simple because they can enter into the tissue, whereas IV injections still mainly stay in the blood stream, making it more relevant treatment for acute infections rather than ongoing anti-aging benefits. We want the vitamin value to go up INSIDE the cells, not merely outside.
I have been monitoring the effects on lab testing throughout the past year. There is no comparison to regular supplements.

Liposomal vitamins have become all the rage and for good reason.
These vitamins are the superheroes of supplements. Simply because they are designed to be absorbed directly into the cells with nothing going to waste.
That means no risk of “expensive pee”.
Yes, I know what you are thinking. They are more expensive than your standard supplements, but let me tell you: there is no comparison. With standard vitamin-C supplements, we are only able to absorb approx. 20% when the dosage exceeds 1g - which is not a lot considering our needs under stress and disease. Oral glutathione is not absorbable at all, except as liposomal glutathione.
What makes liposomal vitamins so amazing?
Liposomal vitamins are encapsulated in a shell consisting of microscopic healthy fat particles phospholipids along with water soluble vitamins and minerals. Our cell membranes consist of fat, so only that which is encapsulated in fat, will be carried through their membrane. Fat and water don’t mix as we know from the chemistry lab.
Using high therapeutic dosages of vitamin-C in the form of liposomal C is well tolerated, and there are no side-effects.
With regular oral vitamin-C, we might experience diarrhea when we go high dosage. Also keeping in mind that high dosages of oral unencapsulated vitamin-C can play a factor in kidney stones. This is only because the oral unencapsulated form is not fully absorbed and thus take a toll on the kidneys where excess is excreted.
How much do we need?
When we are under stress either from work, divorce, disease, undergoing surgery or in recovery from addiction, eating disorders or other abuses that are defined by high-level of both mental and physical stress, our body requires higher dosages of antioxidants to not simply maintain, but repair the damage done. The recommended daily dosages are set to simply avoid visible deficiency symptoms, not for optimal health and it certainly does not consider stress factors we are under. Research has shown a nearly 40 fold increase in demand for anti-stress vitamins like vitamin C when we are under stress - translating into 5-10g daily. This is not a level that we can cater for via regular unencapsulated oral vitamin C, as this much would cause side effects and be way too harsh on the kidneys. We need another way of meeting our body’s needs for this crucial vitamin with involved in immune health but also skin beauty.
Liposomal vitamin-C vs. IV vitamin-C
IV vitamin-C treatment is mostly relevant for acute infections and late-stage cancer treatment due to the unique hydrogen peroxide effect occurring in the blood stream, rather than for immune boosting properties. This is because IV vitamin treatment gets injected directly into the veins, but as the vitamins are still not fat-soluble, they are not able to be utilized inside the cells. This results in a temporary spike in the blood stream, making IV treatment relevant for specifically acute infections in the bloodstream, but not so much for longterm immune boosting.
Much of the research so far has focused on vitamin concentrations available in the blood, however with the dawning of liposomal technology it is becoming clear that we might want to focus on tissue/cellular concentrations as these may be more relevant than circulating concentrations. Afterall, it is only what gets absorbed that has relevance for our overall immune health and repair. If it stays in the blood it only is able to target virus and infections occurring there. So each method has its benefits but also limitations - why it is important that we begin to understand where it is relevant to use each type of delivery method. For the majority of us, liposomal technology is where our focus should be - using IV for acute infections mainly.
Liposomal technology provides us the unique opportunity to gain access to a level of health care previously only available in-clinic.
This is why we can consider even the price to be cheap for what we get quality wise.
It is no secret that I am a big fan of liposomal supplements - especially when it comes to treating serious diseases like cancer. For anti aging purpose, the benefits are obvious: this is like drinking beauty elixir. Especially the combination of liposomal vitamin C and liposomal glutathione has proved to be a powerful combo used to clear and brighten-up dull and lifeless complexion. Not not mention that glutathione is actually our most powerful antioxidant - even more so than vitamin-C. That said, they each have their respective purposes - so it is not like one or the other, more like focusing on the synergy between them: how they enhance each other when taken together.
Glutathione is key player in detoxification of toxins, chemicals, pesticides and mold from our body.
When our glutathione reserves run low, our aging accelerates. If there ever was one beauty supplement this is it. I recommend taking it on empty stomach first thing in the morning and then following with som grapefruit or orange juice, as it has a distinct taste to it admittedly. The effects of glutathione on our body is not comparable to any trendy detox diet.
Liposomal glutathione is vital for autoimmune disease as well, in order to detox from the toxins blocking the immune system.
When our immune system attacks itself, it only does so when there is some type of blockage in the system causing it to disrupt. Until we reach a level of health care where we test for the underlying biochemical parameters rather than diagnose the symptoms, these diseases will unfortunately continue to be diagnosed as “chronic”.
However, if we are willing to pay for our own health care, these testings are available and is a paradigm shift in how we treat disease today and care for our health preventatively for tomorrow.
